Not much has been done since the last post, but it is the end of the month, I am trying to post for often (and actually get work done). I have done some work on the noncoms and commanders of the 214th Corsairs. List will have (for now) 4 Sergeants and 2 Company Commanders. My favorite is the sarge with the cast, those things hurt, would make a great CCW!
And with my tax return, I purchased the final parts of my 2500 point Black Templar list. 4 razorbacks. I also ordered a bunch of magnets from amazingmagnets. I also finally got the kits I ordered from The Manufactorum this summer. Simon there has a great idea that helps the modeler, and I hope he gets things figured out. I would order from him again if he does get things squared away. So here is some pictures of what I am working on. I hope to get the predators, razorbacks, and LRC done and primed for paint by the end of April.
I got a little booboo while I was cutting the pins off the main weapons. Nothing a little superglue can't fix. Now if only my girlfriend would stop yelling at me for not using a bandaid.
A blog that will hopefully inspire me to become a better gamer, modeler, and painter.

214th Corsairs Test Scheme
It is that great time of year. Spring break! Since I have nothing better to do but work, I have had plenty of time to work on Warhammer minis. I managed to finished up 4 Cadian models, except for some weathering and maybe some washes. Although never happy with what I do, I am happy with how they came out, saying I have only been painting for a year (on and off). By far the hardest part was painting the eyes. They are a lot smaller than I thought. I painted the face, then the white, then a thin black line, which took about 10 tries total on the 3 guys (one model was already done months ago). Then I went back and touched up the helmets and face as best I could. Basing was done with Army Painter Brown Battleground.
The Catachan model on the right was just a test to see how the orange looked when airbrushed. I will probably just stick to painting it on with a brush, since I only have like 10 guys left to paint anyways.
Speaking of airbrushing, I finally pulled it out and tried it. John (Flekkzo) stopped by tonight and helped me figure the art out. After about 30 minutes of running around with my head cut off like a chicken, we got started painting. He talking me through thinning the paints and getting a technique down. I must say, having a HUGE compressor with clean, dry air is nice. Also, GW paints SUCK to spray. I couldn't get a consistent spray at all. The tip kept clogging up. Naturally I started painting the biggest tank I had too! (Which happens to be the only one the army currently has) Starting with the underside (to get some more practice where no one will see), and working my way around, I got most of it painted. Still needs one more coat before I can move on to painting other colors. Time to show off!

Overdue update!
Man has it been a LONG time since I did an update. School really likes to take up all my time (and working 3 jobs). Luckily I have had some free time, so I decided to do some painting. I have been getting 1-2 models worked on a night. My goal is to get all the orange done on all the models before breaking it down to squads to get finish things. I need one more command box and I can finish 2 squads! (plus add tons more to bitz boxes)
The color scheme is really simple. All the cloth is Macharius Solar Orange. Armor is Iyanden Darksun, and the weapons and few things are Calthan Brown. Metal parts are black with some silver drybrushed over, bleached bone for skills, some gold on wings, and the eyes are painted (first time doing it). Skin is being painted with P3 paints, which I like WAY more than GW paints.
Also started working with a wet palette that I bought at Dick Blicks for liek 5 bucks (love discounts). Only used orange so far but I like it. On to some bad quality pics! The ones with valkyries belong to Flekkzo. If you haven't yet, check out his blog! www.flekkzo.blogspot.com
And just a pic of the pretty valkyrie!
Valkyrie number 2 is almost done getting painted I am told. The pic above is not the finished product, as a few things changed, but close enough to get the idea.
And finally, some new pretty things that are getting added to the IG list. One for the Corsairs, and one for the Catachan army I have (which has no name)
Hopefully in 2 weeks I will be posting about how great they look in paint!
Back to painting.
